Nachdem die praktischen Kompetenzen der Lehrkräfte in den Bereichen Metallzerspanung, Mechatronik, Industrieelektronik sowie Schweißen erfasst wurden, wählte das Vorhaben die Teilnehmer für mehrstufige Fortbildungsprogramme aus.
Die Lehrkräfte entwickelten ihre praktischen Fertigkeiten weiter und qualifizierten sich so für die Anwendung komplexer Technologien (beispielsweise CNC).
