Bei der Wahl des Schwerpunktes Islamwissenschaft wird eine weitere Islamsprache erlernt (Neupersisch oder Türkeitürkisch) und islamwissenschaftliches Fachwissen zu den Komplexen Theologie/Recht, weitere Themen aus der arabischen Kulturgeschichte (wie Historiographie, Naturwissenschaften, Geographie) und Literatur erworben.
