Der Midtstubakken wurde 1955 errichtet, bei der WM 1966 in Oslo sprangen dort die Nordisch Kombinierten.
Für die Weltmeisterschaft 1982 wurde die Schanze dann wieder modernisiert, mit der in der DDR entwickelten Weitenmessanlage ROBOTRON ausgestattet und dort auch das Normalschanzenspringen K85 der Spezialspringer ausgetragen.Es gewann der Österreicher Armin Kogler.
Doch dann wurde die Schanze nach dem letzten Wettkampf 1992 stillgelegt.
