Die Forschungsarbeiten von Prof. Meyer (*1948) konzentrieren sich in den letzten Jahren auf die Bereiche Energieeinsparung bei der Pflanzenproduktion in Gewächshäusern, Einfluss von Kunstlichtsystemen auf die Pflanzenmorphologie sowie den Bereich Prozessdokumentation und Bewertung bei der Pflanzenproduktion.
Prof. Meyer studierte an der Leibnitz Universität Hannover Gartenbauwissenschaften, wo er auch promovierte (1982) und im Fach Technik im Gartenbau habilitierte (1988).
