Das Ranckett, auch Rackett genannt, ein nur noch in wenigen Exemplaren erhaltenes Blasinstrument vor allem des 17. Jahrhunderts, hat die Form einer Büchse, durch die eine spiralförmige Bohrung gelegt ist, so dass die Rohrlänge mehr als neunmal so lang wie die Büchse ist.
Das aufgewickelte Rohr im Inneren des Instruments hat Assoziationen zur Wurst hervorgerufen, weswegen das Ranckett auch Wurstfagott genannt wird.
