Dazu verankerte er das vielseitige Enzym Chlorperoxidase sowohl durch physikalische Adsorption als auch durch chemische Bindung auf dem porösen Trägermaterial SBA-15.
In mehreren Versuchsreihen konnte Carsten Streb zeigen, daß der so hergestellte Feststoff über einen weiten pH-Bereich eingesetzt werden kann und gegenüber chemischen Einflüssen weniger empfindlich ist als das Enzym selbst.
