Der 36-jährige siedelte 1999 mit seiner Familie nach Deutschland über und ist mehrfacher Deutscher Einzelmeister.
Einer seiner größten Erfolge in der Jugend war der dritte Platz bei der U16-Weltmeisterschaft, damals punktgleich mit dem heutigen Supergroßmeister Peter Svidler.
Seit 2001 ist Daniel internationaler Großmeister.
grenkechessclassic.comAlong with Arkadij Naiditsch and Georg Meier he was a part of the German national team that sensationally won the European Team Championship in 2011. Daniel moved to Germany with his family in 1999 and is a multiple German Champion.
One of his greatest achievements as a junior was claiming third place at the U16 World Youth Championship, level on points with the now supergrandmaster Peter Svidler.
He became an international grandmaster in 2001.
