Im Jahre 1515 und wiederum im Jahre 1650 ließen schwere Stürme die steile gotische Turmspitze einstürzen, wobei die Schiffe der Nikolaikirche und Häuser in der unmittelbaren Umgebung stark beschädigt wurden.

Weitere Kunstwerke wie „ Daphne & Chloe “, „ Trophy “ und „ Nautilus “ werden bis zum 17. September 2012 im Louvre in den gotischen Sälen des „ Département des Objets d ’ art “ und in den Appartements Napoléon III sowie im „ Jardin des Tuileries “ gezeigt, kuratiert von Marie-Laure Bernadac.
