Cartoonist Uli Stein und sein Verleger Gerd Koch hatten den Pingi 1993 nach der beliebten Cartoon-Figur des Zeichners anfertigen lassen, und wir haben drei Jahre später das Baby dazu gebaut.
Von einem einzigen Zeitungsfoto weg haben wir den gesamten Vogel selbst entworfen und genäht.
