Von Roppen auf breitem Fahrweg zur Maisalm ( 1.631 m ), weiter auf dem Karrenweg bzw. Steig zur Muthütte und Mutkopf ( 1.990 m ), in der Folge meist am Rücken bzw. Grat nach S zum Forchheimer Biwak ( 2.443 m, ca. 2 h ab Maisalm ).
In die Einsattelung zwischen Weitem Karkopf und Murmentenkarspitze, hinab ins Weite Kar und nach oben durch felsdurchsetztes Gelände zum O-Grat des Äußeren Hohen Kogls.
