www.pyrgus.deScolitantides baton ist nördlich der Alpen bedroht durch qualitativen und quantitativen Rückgang der Magerrasen ( Beweidungsaufgabe, Sukzession, Überbauung, Nährstoffeintrag ) und dem Rückgang von Thymian, der meist an lückige Strukturen gebunden ist und Vergrasung nicht verträgt.
Im Süden ist Scolitantides baton viel weniger bedroht.

In the south, Scolitantides baton is much less endangered and locally common.
