Die Anwendungsgebiete unserer Forschungen beinhalten dabei u.A. die computergestützte Diagnose und Prognose sowie den rationalen Wirkstoffentwurf.
Die Gruppe trägt aktiv zu mehreren großen Softwareprojekten bei, wie z.B. der Biochemical Algorithms Library (BALL) oder dem OpenMS-Framework.
In der Lehre bieten wir regelmäßige Bioinformatikkurse, sowie die Grundstudiumsveranstaltungen "Einführung in die Programmierung" (EiP) und "Einführung in die Softwareentwicklung" (EiS) an.
