Während bestimmte Regionen, welche Gene beinhalten, die für reproduktive Isolation verantwortlich sind, vor Introgression geschützt sind, sind andere offen für Genfluss, was zur Introgression führen kann.
Wir untersuchen Genom Porosität und die Rolle der natürlichen Selektion bei der Aufrechterhaltung von Artgrenzen in einem Paar von hybridisierenden Silene-Arten, Silene latifolia and S. dioica.
