Sein Promotionsprojekt in der Philosophie der Sozialwissenschaften zielt auf die ontologisch motivierte Kritik des Individualismus in den Sozialwissenschaften.
Bei CELLS beschäftigt er sich primär mit bioethischen und soziologischen Fragen im Kontext biomedizinischer Forschung.

Das Forschungsvorhaben umfasst sowohl philosophiegeschichtliche Betrachtungen über die Wechselbeziehung zwischen Verantwortungsdiskussion und Technologie als auch die Frage, ob und wieweit menschliche Verantwortung vor dem Hintergrund natürlicher Gegebenheiten und potenzieller Naturkatastrophen überhaupt möglich ist.

This forward-looking definition of responsibility should have a firm ontological basis in the conditions of human coexistence.
The project will therefore consider not only the historical development of philosophical perspectives on the relationship between technology and responsibility, but also the issue of whether, and to what degree, an ethics of responsibility is possible at all, given the inherently uncertain character of the human environment and the ever-present threat of natural disasters.
