Während ein promotion focus häufig mit einer schnelleren, aber auch ungenaueren Informationsverarbeitung einhergeht, führt ein prevention focus meist zu einer langsameren, aber genaueren Informationsverarbeitung.
Im Rahmen des Projektes konnte bisher gezeigt werden, dass Personen im prevention focus Informationen in Abhängigkeit von ihren persönlichen Präferenzen bewerten.

A promotion focus is related to a fast, yet sometimes inaccurate processing style, while a prevention focus is associated with slow and more accurate information processing.
Within the scope of this project, it could so far be shown that individuals in a prevention focus tend to misevaluate information provided during group discussions.
