Ausgangsüberlegung des Projektes ist es, dass unkonventionelle Forschungsideen, die sich jenseits ausgetretener Pfade und etablierter Denkmuster bewegen, oft gar nicht erst in die ernsthafte Überprüfung hinsichtlich der damit einhergehenden Chancen gelangen.
Dies liegt , wie die Innovationsforschung vielfach gezeigt hat , an einer Reihe von Filtern , unter denen Organisationen ihre Umgebung wahrnehmen ( Ansoff 1984 ) .
