Für den stark wachsenden Markt der Ethernet-Netzwerke im Bereich der Industrieautomation hat Softing bisher keine eigenen mobilen Produkte im Angebot.
Mit der Übernahme der Psiber wird Softing sowohl die strategische Lücke bei mobilen Geräten zur Diagnose von Ethernet-Netzwerken schließen , als auch in den ebenfalls stark wachsenden aber technisch anspruchsvollen Markt zur Diagnose von Kupfer- und Glasfasernetzwerken bei Rechenzentren wie bei Büroinstallationen eintreten .
Softing erwartet, mit der Übernahme der Psiber den Konzernumsatz mit Geräten zur Netzwerk- und Kabeldiagnose in 2014 auf rund 10 Mio. EUR zu steigern.
