An der Basis war die Eruptionswolke von einer dunkelgrauen Wolke gesäumt, ähnlich eines „base surge“, während sie sich weiter vertikal ausdehnte.
Bomben, Asche und Blöcke fielen vor allem auf die NE-Flanke des Vulkans, oberhalb 400 m Seehöhe und entzündeten etliche Buschfeuer.
