www.uni-muenchen.deDie Gase, insbesondere Kohlendioxid ( CO2 ), umschließen die Erde wie eine Hülle und bewirken einen menschengemachten Treibhauseffekt, der zu Klimaveränderungen führt, mit wahrscheinlich sehr belastenden bis katastrophalen Folgen – wenn es nicht endlich gelingt, in ein oder zwei Jahrzehnten, den weiteren Anstieg der Treibhausgaskonzentration zu stoppen und mit Hilfe der Natur ( Ozeane und Wälder / Pflanzen ) die bereits erreichte CO2-Konzentration wieder abzusenken.
Die Brisanz der Klimaproblematik zeigt sich insbesondere an den immer deutlicher sich abzeichnenden über die Welt verteilten tipping points.
