Wir werden optogenetische und tracing Techniken anwenden, um die Projektionen vom Cerebellum zum Hippocampus zu identifizieren und um die Aktivität dieser Projektionen zu kontrollieren und zu modulieren.
Mit Hilfe von in vivo elektrophysiologischen Ableitungen während optogenetischer Manipulation in explorierenden Mäusen werden dann der Einfluss der cerebellären Aktivität auf die räumliche Informationsverarbeitung im Hippocampus und auf das zielgerichtete, hippocampal vermittelte Orientierungsverhalten der Maus analysiert.

We use optogenetic and tracing techniques to identify the projections and to control and modulate the output activity from the cerebellum to the hippocampus.
We also use in vivo electrophysiological recordings from freely exploring mice during optogenetic manipulation to study the role of cerebellar activity on spatial information processing in the hippocampus and on goal-directed navigation behavior.
