1994 ist das Gebäude renoviert worden, um mehr Ausstellungsräume, einen Saal für Vorträge und Filmvorführungen sowie Büros dort unterzubringen.
Während dieser Rekonstruktion ist auch die tscherkessische Veranda angebaut worden.
