Sie hob mehrere Mechanismen ikonographischer und symbolischer Entlehnung hervor, die dazu anregen, die religiöse Zuordnung bestimmter ikonographischer Motive zu überdenken.
Sven Wortmann (Bochum) skizierte die soziale und semantische Emergenz des religiösen Feldes im antiken Indien, indem er verschiedene Schichten indischer Literatur miteinander verglich und die Prozesse anhand der Bourdieu‘schen Terminologie sozialer Felder modellierte.
