EQUATOR PRINCIPLES ( 2003 )
The Equator Principles are 15 international guidelines for banks that finance projects .
They apply to any bank investment exceeding €50 million.

However , if the banks funding the project work according to the Equator Principles and apply the IFC standards , these standards shall apply to the entire project thus avoiding the parallel use of different sets of standards for one and the same project .

In cases where those banks ( known as “ Equator Principles ” banks ) are involved in the financing of a project and apply the IFC standards , those standards will also form the basis for the review in our Sustainability Department in order to avoid the application of two different sets of standards on one project .
Besides, the Common Approaches allow the use of standards that are equal or higher than those mentioned above for the review.
