Gleichzeitig werden mit Wirkung für künftige Versendungen die Karenzfristen bzw. schadenbegründenden Fristen ( d.h. die Wartefristen bis zum Eintritt des Schadenfalls ) für alle Schadentatbestände einschließlich Nichtzahlungstatbestand ( protracted default ) einheitlich auf 12 Monate verlängert.
In diesem Zusammenhang wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass die bedingungsgemäße Meldepflicht bei Kenntnis von Gefahrerhöhung unverändert bestehen bleibt.
Der Exporteur muss also ihm bekannt werdende gefahrerhöhende Umstände unverzüglich schriftlich anzeigen und mitteilen, welche Maßnahmen er zur Sicherung seiner Ansprüche beabsichtigt oder getroffen hat.
