Since 1992 the journal is published by the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis ( Institut für Technikfolgenabschätzung und Systemanalyse, ITAS ) being a research institute of KIT, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
The editors are supported by a loose network of organisations working in the field of TA and related areas at home and abroad, who are helping with the production of the journal.

Die Redaktion stützt sich bei der Produktion der Zeitschrift auf ein loses Netzwerk in- und ausländischer Einrichtungen, die im Bereich TA und verwandten Gebieten tätig sind.
