Among the best known initiatives are Flower Label, RUGMARK and the Kampagne für Saubere Kleider ( Campaign for Clean Clothes ), and also the Round Table on Codes of Conduct.
Close cooperation with industry (e.g. the German textile industry, Ritter Sport), unions (AVE, ver.di and IG Metall) and civil society organisations (FIAN, VENRO, German Watch) has made it possible to develop and implement codes of conduct that are acceptable to all stakeholders.
Since the International Tourism Bourse 2005 in Berlin, GIZ has engaged in an intense dialogue with the travel industry, non-governmental organisations and unions, on the topic of social standards and working conditions in tourism.
