For more than 40 years Hanoverians have been bred on the stud farm of the Heumann family in Vordorf ( Lower Saxony, Germany ).
These three mares formed the basis of the breeding:Wolke by Wohlstand, Eira by Einhard and Elfenfaser by Eljen (see broodmares).

Die Rappstute Wolke von Wohlstand hat vorwiegend Dressurpferde, aber auch Springpferde hervorgebracht, die braune Stute Eira von Einhard hat fast ausschließlich Springpferde gemacht und die Kohlfuchsstute Elfenfaser von Eljen vererbte das Dressurblut.
