The collection was gathered by the great uncle of the donator / benefactor and was, since then, family property.
Charles Schoeller ( 1856-1916 ) was a very active merchant, who worked in China, India, and Egypt.

Die Sammlung wurde vom Großonkel der Stifterin zusammengetragen und befand sich seitdem in Familienbesitz.
Charles Schoeller ( 1856-1916 ) war ein überaus aktiver Kaufmann, der in China, Indien und Ägypten tätig war.
