Bei den Erörterungen haben die meisten Mitgliedstaaten einen Kompromissvorschlag des Vorsitzes unterstützt und auch einen höheren EU-Finanzierungssatz befürwortet.
Der Sonderausschuss Landwirtschaft wird nunmehr die Abänderungen des Europäischen Parlaments prüfen.
