Das Ergebnis nach Steuern und Fremdanteilen ist um 72,5 Prozent auf rund 1,8 Milliarden Euro gestiegen (1-9 2006 pro-forma:
1.015 Millionen Euro).

Lag der Periodenüberschuss ohne Fremdanteile nach dem 1. Quartal noch 23 Prozent hinter dem Vorjahr, liegt die Bank Austria nach dem ersten Halbjahr mit einem Periodenüberschuss ohne Fremdanteile von 1.062 Millionen Euro wieder fast auf Vorjahresniveau.

while consolidated profit (after minority interests) for the first quarter of 2008 was 23 per cent lower than in the same period of the previous year, Bank Austrias consolidated profit for the first six months was EUR 1,062 million, nearly matching the previous year's level.
