Das Unternehmen Libri wurde 1928 von Georg Lingenbrink in Hamburg gegründet und nimmt seit nunmehr über 80 Jahren eine führende Rolle im Buchgroßhandel ein .
Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich Libri – während der gesamten Zeit von Hamburger Kaufleuten geführt – vom ursprünglich regionalen Buchgroßhändler zum international tätigen Mediendienstleister für den Buchhandel entwickelt und seine Position auf dem deutschen Buchmarkt konsequent ausgebaut.
