Einflüsse der beim Verbrennungsmotor üblichen Kühlmitteltemperatur von circa 90 °C auf das deutlich niedrigere Temperaturniveau im Kühlkreislauf der Elektrik (circa 40 °C) müssen dabei über eine Isolation vermieden werden.
Die Kühlstrategie des Hauptkühlers richtet sich im Demonstratorfahrzeug nach dem jeweiligen Bedarf der einzelnen Kreisläufe:
