Alain Tanner, welcher zur Zeit in Frankreich und Spanien seinen neuen Film «Fleurs de sang» dreht, tritt in Cannes als Koproduzent des Eröffnungsfilm der Semaine de la critique «La plage noire» von Michel Piccoli auf.
Der zum Abschluss der Offiziellen Selektion gezeigte Film «Les âmes fortes» von Raul Ruiz wurde vom Neuenburger Filmproduzenten Jean-Marc Henchoz mitfinanziert.
