Wenn die Banknoten in einer Banknotendruckerei fertig gedruckt bzw. die Münzen in einer Prägeanstalt fertig geprägt sind, werden sie von der Zentralbank übernommen und an die Geschäftsbanken verteilt. In der Folge versorgen die Geschäftsbanken Unternehmen und private Haushalte mit Bargeld.
Auch der Rückfluss des Geldes aus der Wirtschaft erfolgt über die Geschäftsbanken, die das gesammelte Bargeld an die Zentralbank zurückführen.

Once the process of printing banknotes at the printing works or striking coins at the mint has been completed, the central bank takes charge of the notes and coins and distributes them to commercial banks, which then supply the economy – businesses and households – with cash.
The cash returns to the central bank by way of the commercial banks.
