Zwei Wochen nachdem sich die Iren in einem Referendum für den Vertrag von Lissabon ausgesprochen haben, hat ihn die irische Präsidentin Mary McAleese am 16. Oktober unterzeichnet.
Mit der Hinterlegung der Ratifizierungsurkunde in Rom ist die Ratifizierung durch Irland nun abgeschlossen.
Damit der Vertrag in Kraft treten kann, muss er von allen Mitgliedstaaten ratifiziert werden.

Following the deposit of the ratification document in Rome, the Irish ratification procedure is now completed.
The Treaty has to be ratified by all Member States to enter into force.
