Als objektives Maß für die Ausprägung des Schnarchens steht unter anderem der Schnarchindex, d.h. die Anzahl der Schnarcher je Stunde, zur Verfügung.
Die Stabilität des Schnarchindex von Nacht zu Nacht als Voraussetzung für aussagefähige prä- und postoperative Vergleichsmessungen sollte bestimmt werden.
