„Zum anderen könnte es Materialforscher dabei unterstützen, neue Supraleiter mit höheren Sprungtemperaturen zu entwickeln“, sagt Mankowsky.
„Bis hin zum Traum eines Supraleiters, der bei Raumtemperatur funktioniert und ganz ohne Kühlung auskommt.“ Bislang müssen supraleitende Magnete, Motoren und Kabel noch mit flüssigem Stickstoff oder Helium auf extreme Minusgrade gebracht werden.
