Während dieser Zeit arbeitete er als wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft am Lehrstuhl für Religions- und Missionswissenschaft ( Prof. Dr. Theo Sundermeier, Heidelberg ) und am Centre for the Study of Christianity in the Non-Western World ( Prof. Dr. Andrew Walls, Edinburgh ).
Von 1995 bis 2004 war er zuerst Vikar und später Gemeindepfarrer in der Evangelischen Kirche der Pfalz.
Seit 2004 ist er Programmverantwortlicher für Kamerun und Nigeria bei mission 21, verantwortlich für weltweite Querschnittsthemen HIV / Aids sowie Theologische Ausbildung und seit 2007 Teamkoordination / Teamleitung Afrika.

From 1995 to 2004 he worked as curate and pastor for the Protestant church of the Palatinate, Germany.
In 2004 he became programme officer at mission 21 for Cameroon and Nigeria, coordinator for the overall HIV / AIDS programme as well as theological education.
