www.hs-bremen.deHier lag das Spital Sankt Spiritus für Arme und Kranke, von dem die gleichnamige „ Heilig-Geist-Kapelle “ bis heute erhalten blieb.
Zwischenzeitlich als Mensa für das angrenzende Wirtschaftsinstitut der Humboldt-Universität genutzt, wurde die Kapelle 2005 aufwändig restauriert und im Rahmen der Neubebauung mit einem kleinen Vorplatz versehen.
Dort befindet sich auch der Grundstein des „DomAquarée“, dessen Gestaltung der langen geistlichen Geschichte des Quartiers Rechnung trägt.

Temporarily used as a canteen by the Economics Faculty of the neighbouring Humboldt University, the chapel was painstakingly restored in 2005 and a small forecourt added.
The DomAquarée foundation stone was laid here, and the building was designed to be sensitive to the long religious history of the area.
