What is the ground like in which the famous lines are etched ?
It consists of layers of sand, mostly dark brown and whitish grey underneath, so in some places you have dark background with clear lines, and in others you have the opposite:
bright layers of sand with dark outlines of the drawings – you have convex and concave lines, depending if you have lines that are made with dark stones or bright lines that are etched into the ground.
