Rebecca Marr chose these and other ocean plants she collected on the coasts of Orkney – mostly unfamiliar to land dwellers – as subjects of the series Seaweed Garden.
She presents photograms as a contemporary examination of this traditional photographic technique and shows reverence to the British botanist and photographer Anna Atkins (1799 – 1871).
