Der TDS einer Wasserprobe basiert auf der Messung des EC-Wertes und kann mittels folgender Gleichung berechnet werden:
TDS (mg/l) = 0.5 x EC (dS/m oder mmho/com) oder TDS (mg/l) = 0.5 * 1000 x EC (mS/cm)
