Durch das Studium der Evangelischen Theologie erwerben die Studierenden Kompetenzen, die sie für berufliche Tätigkeiten in Bereichen qualifizieren, die mit religiösen Traditionen, religiöser Praxis und der Kommunikation von und über Religion zu tun haben.
Theologische Kompetenzen in Verbindung mit mindestens einem weiteren Studienfach eröffnen individuelle berufliche Perspektiven in Journalismus und Verlagswesen, in Bibliotheken, Museen oder Archiven ebenso wie in spezialisierten Sparten der Tourismusbranche, in Fort- und Weiterbildung, im Bereich von Beratungsdienstleistungen so wie in caritativen oder diakonischen Berufsfeldern.
