Wer am Sabbat selbstlos unaufschiebbare Hilfen und Arbeiten für seine Nächsten verrichtet - z.B. an Menschen, die am Sabbat in Not geraten oder erkrankt sind oder Leid und Schmerz erdulden -, der verstößt nicht gegen das Gesetz des Lebens.
Wenn der Mensch jedoch um seiner Vorteile willen den Sabbat entheiligt, dann übertritt er das Gesetz, das Gott den Menschen gegeben hat:
Du sollst am Ende einer Woche einen Tag ruhen und noch bewusster in Gott leben, um Kräfte für die Tage der Arbeit zu sammeln.
