Die zentralen technologischen Arbeitspakete sind hierbei ( i ) die Herstellung eines photovoltaischen Absorbermaterials aus in eine SiO2-Matrix eingebetteten Si-Nanostrukturen und ( ii ) die Herstellung von selektiven p-typ und n-typ Kontaktmaterialien aus einer Mischung von Si-Nanokristallen und einer SiO2-Matrix.
Diese Kontaktmaterialien sollen sowohl für kristalline Wafer-Solarzellen als auch für Dünnfilmsolarzellen aus amorphem und/oder mikrokristllinem Silizium verwendet werden.
