Composed of white boxes, hidden mirrors and multiple perspectives, it exposes the fact that even a single plinth is not a passive structure, but a lens that defines the things we see, and how we see them.

Der Reiz ihrer Arbeiten liegt in der Karikatur des guten sowie des schlechten Geschmacks und dem Spiel mit dem Alltäglichen.

In order to rejuvenate this most venerable monument, French construction group Ponticelli deployed its Terex® AC 700 all terrain crane to help raise a complex scaffolding structure.
www.terex.comEinem flachen Kubus, die den Grundriss des Bestandes, wo Büro- und Bibliotheksnutzungen untergebracht sind, bis zur Höhe des Eingangsgeschoßes zum Rechteck schließt und den Veranstaltungssaal, dessen Südfassade sich zu einem im Bezug zum Garten noch einmal tiefer gelegten Platz mit Sitzstufen öffnet, beherbergt.
Sie dient als Sockel für einen schmäleren, zweigeschoßigen Kubus, der das L des Bestandes bis auf einen schmalen Spalt, in dem ein gläserner Lift die Verbindung herstellt, zu einem U schließt und ein Cafe auf der unteren, sowie das Archiv auf der oberen Ebene beinhaltet.
Auf dem Dach des Sockelgebäudes entsteht dadurch eine hochwertige Terrasse, die sowohl die äußere Verbindung zwischen höher gelegenem Palais und abgesenktem Veranstaltungssaal bzw. Garten herstellt, als auch Sitzgarten mit Parkblick für das Cafe-Publikum ist.
www.rieglerriewe.ata flat cube completes the floor plan of the existing building, where the offices and library are located, up to the level of the entrance floor to form a rectangle and the events hall, whose south facade opens onto a lower-lying open space with seating steps, that relates to the garden.
It serves as a plinth for a smaller two-storey block that makes the existing L into a U (apart from a narrow slit in which a lift provides a connection) and contains a café on the lower level and the archive on the upper floor.
A fine terrace created on the roof of the plinth building provides a connection between the palace at the higher level and the lower events hall and garden, while also functioning as seating area that offers the café public a view of the park.

Wie die anderen Gartenobjekte wurde auch diese Brunnenanlage von Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf von Hohenberg entworfen und laut Inschrift am Sockel des Obelisken im Jahre 1777 errichtet.
Die bildhauerischen Arbeiten führte Benedikt Henrici, teilweise nach Entwürfen Wilhelm Beyers aus.
