Rechts und links der Lagerstraße erstreckten sich die Baracken, deren Nummern heute am Kopf der Steinfundamente eingelassen sind.
Den jeweils ersten beiden Baracken waren eine besondere Funktion zugedacht, in ihnen befand sich der Häftlingskrankenbau ( rechts ) die Lagerbücherei, eine Kantine für Häftlinge, später auch eine Schreibstube und eine Produktionsstätte für die Rüstungsindustrie ( links ).
Der Häftlingskrankenbau (" Revier ") wuchs im Laufe der Jahre immer mehr an und erstreckte sich zum Schluss auf die ersten neun Baracken an der rechten Seite.

The first two barracks were given a variety of special functions: the medical facilities for the prisoners ( on the right ), the camp library, the prisoner canteen, later also an orderly room, and a production workshop for the armaments industry ( left ).
The number of barracks designated for medical purposes ( known as the “ Revier ” or “ sickbay ” ) continued to grow over the years, eventually covering the first nine barracks on the right-hand side.
